Credits are units consumed when using Patenty AI features. AI patent draft creation consumes 10 credits, uploaded drawing analysis during draft generation consumes 1 additional credit per drawing, OA analysis consumes 5 credits, and prior art search and specification AI Agent chat each consume 2 credits.
Plan credits reset monthly based on your individual signup/payment date. Additional purchased credits do not reset and are retained. Example: If you sign up on Jan 15, credits reset on the 15th of each month.
Starter includes 100 monthly credits and unlocks the core AI workspace. It is designed as the lowest-friction paid entry point before moving to Basic or Professional.
Yes, all paid plans (Starter, Basic, Professional, Pro Secure) can purchase additional credits (1 credit = ₩100, minimum 100 credits). Additional purchased credits do not reset monthly and are retained.
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan anytime. Upgrades are applied immediately, while downgrades are applied after the current billing cycle ends.
OA analysis is available on paid plans as long as you have credits. Starter is for light validation, Basic covers recurring light use, and Professional is better for combined drafting, review, and OA workloads.
Even with annual subscriptions, credits are distributed monthly (e.g., Professional annual subscription provides 2,000 credits per month). Credits for 12 months are not given at once.
Payments are securely processed by Paddle, Patenty's authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles the card charge, receipt, and any applicable tax — so your card statement and emailed receipt will show "Paddle.com" as the seller (this is expected, not a separate company). Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial: your card is saved at signup but isn't charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime before then. Korean businesses needing a tax invoice (세금계산서) can contact support@patenty.ai.
